After two years of planning the day had finally arrived for Beth and Simon’s amazing peacock themed beach wedding at the Seiners, Perranporth. When Beth first asked me to be her wedding photographer I was over the moon as her family and mine go way back … check out the evidence at the end of the blog! The thought, creativity and a whole lot of hard work that went into this wedding truly paid off as it was a fantastic day full of love and laughter and even the weather was perfect! Glorious peacock colours were everywhere – the men’s suits even had peacock feather lining to match their peacock buttonholes. Beth’s mum Sally who is an incredible seamstress had made the gorgeous bridesmaids buttons and the most intricate button bouquets I have ever seen!
The Seiners Arms looked amazing with beautiful wedding banners and tables decorated with wooden lanterns and four leaf clover confetti. If you ever happen to be in Perranporth and need somewhere to eat I can confirm that their food is fantastic, fresh and flavoursome with a great wedding menu! The Rosskilly’s Cornish Fudge Sweet Cart Beth had sourced was perfect for the new Mr and Mrs Rosskilly!
After a lovely ceremony everyone headed out onto the terrace for drinks and then down to make the most of the beautiful beach right outside the venue. The children were entertained with kites, fishing nets and buckets and spades while everyone enjoyed the great weather. Beth, Simon and I headed down the beach to take some couple photos including some with the very impressive Perranporth rock archways.
The evening kicked off with the fabulous Cornish Ceilidh band Splann resulting in some impressive dancing, especially from the younger guests! Dave ran our Vintage Photo Booth and much merriment was had with Darcy the Dinosaur and Flirty the Flamingo! Just in case any guests were peckish in the evening Beth and Simon also provided trays of Cornish pasties and bacon rolls making Dave a very happy wedding photographer!
