Rebecca & James Get Wed
Rebecca and James live in a little house with a big view overlooking the Sierra de las Nieves with their two beautiful flamenco dancing daughters, Noelia and Madelena. After James proposed (read the beautiful story below) they set about looking for their perfect venue and found it just 15 minutes drive away! Cortijo Capellania is a stunning 17th Century farmhouse which has been converted into three beautiful villas with cool terraces, a pizza oven, a pool, gardens and a rose covered pagoda just begging to be used for a wedding! Set in the countryside between the pretty Spanish towns of Yunquera and El Burgo, Malaga and close to the magical city of Ronda the views are stunning and a fabulous restaurant is never far away.
If you look carefully at the photo below you can see the venue nestled in the trees!
Rebecca had told me how she loved having horses at their venue which is also a working farm so I made sure I took some shots with the early morning sun.
Wow is all I can say about your dress Rebecca…It was just perfect for you!
Dave says I get over excited about the dress and shoe photos but that dress, rose pink satin shoes and such gorgeous little bridesmaid frocks with lacy crocheted bodices, how can I not get excited!
One of my absolute favourites from the day, what a cute profile!
Rebecca, Thank you for this image you allowed me to make, I love it, its such a beautiful natural moment and says so much about the incredibly special bond you have with your beautiful girls. The colour version is in the slideshow of extras below … just saying 🙂
So, not only does Rebecca teach, organise amazing weddings, bring up creative and confident little girls but she also has an amazing voice and sings in a way that gives you goose bumps … Vocal warm-up exercises whilst getting buttoned into her dress, a true queen of multi-tasking! Rebecca you are so beautiful!
So Dave noticed that the light was doing something pretty special when we arrived at the venue in the morning and before I knew it he had rushed off to find the ceremony location leaving me to unpack the car…it was worth it though, pretty magical shot Dave.
Last minute prep, James was racing through his list of tasks on the morning of his wedding, fixing signs, hanging drapes, writing speeches… We’d been told he was a resourceful chap…good choice Rebecca!
This is a wishing tree, all the guests wrote a wish or a message to Becky and James and hung it on the tree…what a great idea 🙂
I’d love to know what last minute wisdom James was getting from Andrew his Best Man!
The beautiful wedding ceremony was led by ceremonialists Patricia and Michael and began with some impressive shell blowing!
Wise words…
A tunnel of loving hands wishing you well, what a wonderful way to leave your ceremony.
A fantastic group of people, we had a wonderful time meeting you all.
A Mediterranean feast, honey marinated skewer kebabs, vegetable tagine with pumpkin and spicy Moroccan Matbuka Dave was one well fed and happy wedding photographer! Looking good guys…and what a backdrop!Becky says she can’t remember James’ He-Man impression during his speech…good thing we have photographic evidence then eh!
Once the speeches were over and the cake was cut it was time for Rebecca to don her very beautiful red evening dress by Catriona Garforth, designer at ‘Pure’and then the dancing began!!!
Thank you for looking through this post, we hope you enjoyed it. To see more photos from this beautiful wedding click to start the slideshow below which contains 40 more images from the day.

Rebecca Wilson - I don’t really know what to say tonight Ruth…so I’m stealing some lines of poetry…
I thank you, kind and best beloved friend,
Less for the gifts than for the love you send,
Less for the flowers, than what the flowers convey;
Your gifts….your ‘flowers’… are in this gallery … and I’m so happy that you are doing what you love, your way. Keep doing it.
Isabel De Las Nieves - Beautiful!!! Gorgeous!!!!! Guapisimo!! An amazing beautiful event where love was palpable evrywhere you looked!! <3
