My Baby Shower Celebration
Time seems to be flying now as I start my maternity leave and begin preparing for the arrival of our first little one. Last weekend two of my closest friends left their children with their husbands and came to stay to help me organise a small but beautiful baby shower celebration. I spent a happy evening perusing Pinterest for Baby Shower Ideas for food. We decided on a craft activity with afternoon tea including baby-themed sweets, scones with jam and cream and plenty of biscuits and carrot cake! It was a lovely afternoon and I can’t wait to make everyone’s felt flowers into a picture for our baby’s nursery once we move into our new home next month!
Baby Themed Sweets included sour dummies, jelly babies, jelly bears and alphabet sweets!
For our craft activity everyone made a felt flower, butterfly or heart and decorated it with sequins, buttons and beads. These will become a felt collage for our baby’s nursery and one day I can tell her about all the beautiful women who helped to make it for her!
All the beautiful gifts we received – so exciting as the reality that our little one will be with us soon really starts to sink in!!
Thanks for coming everyone, it was wonderful to see you all!
The brooches I made with my mother to say thank you to everyone for coming.
A great excuse to decorate the flat with lots of colourful things and to buy myself flowers!!!
